With two pubs, a post office, newsagents and an excellent butcher you'll find most things you need in the village during your stay.
A short walk from the village centre, you will find the beautiful medievil church of St Cuthbert. In 1320 the church was occupied and fortified by Robert the Bruce during a siege of the castle.
Fernieside Lodge has easy access to a number of waymarked quiet country walks along the Tweed and into surrounding countryside. Enjoy seeing the local wildlife.
If you're bringing bicycles then why not try the Tweed Cycle way which you can join across Norham Bridges. We have a lockable out-house which is perfect for housing bikes and fishing gear during your stay.

Salmon fishing on the Ladykirk (only a short walk away) Tweedhill, Pedwell and many other beats can be arranged through FishTweed. Trout fishing is managed by Ladykirk and Norham Angling Association and tickets are available in the village from Lynn's Newsagent and the two pubs. Other river, loch and sea fishing is available in the area.
